The Key Laboratory of Game Decision and Control Systems in Guizhou (referred to as the Game Lab) is a key laboratory established by Guizhou University. It was approved by the Science and Technology Department of Guizhou Province in June 2005 and was jointly invested in and constructed by the Science and Technology Department of Guizhou Province and Guizhou University. In July 2007, it was formally established after inspection. It has a staff of 22 people, among them, nine are doctors, 10 professors, six doctoral supervisors, 13 master's supervisors and two provincial experts. The Lab has a floor area of 400 square meters, and laboratory equipment with a total value of about 1.5 million RMB.


The Lab is based on applied basic research and extends to applied research. Based on the dominant disciplines and focusing on game theory and information economics, control theory and application, management and decision science, the Lab mainly conducts basic research in the fields of modern economics, modern management science, data science and technology by comprehensively applying theories and methods of applied mathematics, computational mathematics, probability statistics, operations research and cybernetics. Practically, it applies the ideas and methods of game theory, control theory, and decision theory into economic analysis, enterprise management, and system control and optimization to serve the local economy and accordingly form a high-level academic team with innovative spirit.


The Game Theory and Information Economics Research Office, System Control and Optimization Research Office, and Management and Decision Research Office. Since the establishment of the Lab, it has made a series of basic research achievement. It has won one first prize, two second prizes and one third prize in the Guizhou Science and Technology Progress Award. It has undertaken more than 40 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and published five monographs. The Lab also actively carries out applied research and development and develops the license-plate lottery system and the traffic warning system for Guiyang City. The Lab will forge ahead to make more contribution to development of social economy based on the development strategies like big data, big ecology and big health.
