Seminar on the Construction of First-class Agricultural Machinery Major Held at GZU

In order to promote the experience sharing and the construction of core courses, a seminar on the construction of first-class agricultural machinery major in the southwest universities of China was held in GZU on May 13.

Zhang Dalin, vice president of GZU, and Hu Zhichao, former party secretary of the Nanjing Institute of Agricultural Mechanization of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, attended the meeting. The attendees also included Zhao Jin, deanof the College of Mechanical Engineering of GZU, as well as the heads of agriculture-related colleges from southwestern universities in China.

Zhang said at the opening ceremony that Guizhou had achieved moderate prosperity in all respects, and in the future, we should continue to work hard to promote the development of Guizhou towards new industrialization, agricultural modernization and new urbanization.Under the leadership of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, we will continue to improve Guizhou University and contribute its share to the new development of Guizhou through new industrialization and agricultural modernization.

Zhao Jin highlighted the importance of developing agricultural science and technology, and the vital role of agricultural mechanization and intelligence in modernize agriculture. He hoped that all the scholars present at the meeting could unite and collaborate so as to cultivate more high-quality talents for the development of agricultural machinery in China’s hilly and mountainous areas, and contribute to the improvement of agricultural mechanization in those areas.

After the opening ceremony, the heads of agriculture-related colleges from southwestern universities in Chinareported and discussed the achievements and experience of the first-class agricultural machinery major, its core courses, agricultural machinery, tractor and automobile, and agricultural mechanization management.
