On May 17, President Tzu-Chi Wang and a delegation from Chinese Culture University (CCU) in Taiwan visited GZU. The meeting aimed to exchange views and hold discussions.

Vice President Zhao Liuyan attended the event and extended a warm welcome to the delegates. In his speech, he noted that 2023 is a crucial year for GZU as it accelerates the implementation of the "Double First-Class" initiative for comprehensive growth. He suggested that this initiative could enhance the university's global influence in academic research and education. He stressed the significance and urgency of further cooperation in education to achieve tangible outcomes. Vice President Zhao expressed full support for continued collaboration and exchanges between the two institutions and encouraged joint efforts to take the partnership to new heights.

President Wang Tzu-Chi commended CCU for preserving its rich historical heritage while advancing its education. He proposed that both universities integrate traditional Chinese culture into their core curriculum and address pressing issues for future development. To this end, he emphasized the importance of making progress in multidisciplinary construction, multiple projects, and cross-field talent exchanges. President Wang particularly stressed the need for strengthened collaboration in subjects such as literature, history, and philosophy. He also emphasized promoting youth exchanges and cultivating talent between the two institutions.

Prior to this visit, GZU and CCU had already established a cooperative relationship. In 2017, they signed a cooperation agreement formalizing their friendly ties. Since then, both universities have made significant achievements in academic exchanges and collaborative programs for faculty and students.
